"1998 Summer Blockbuster Review Theme" (also known as "End of the Summer") is a song sung by Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot and Mike Nelson during their second government-directed summer blockbuster review.
Set-up[]
Tom Servo: (singing) Those changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes... (speaking) Hurry up with them Hew Blinds there, Mike.
Crow T. Robot: (entering, out of breath) Mike, Servo. To arms! The country needs our help again!
Tom Servo: Mike, would you put him outside? He's so noisy.
Crow T. Robot: I am deadly serious. We've been enlisted to do yet another summer blockbuster review. The government wants us to inform the citizenry of their compulsory big expensive studio movie watching duties!
Mike Nelson: But...our canned cocktails...
Crow T. Robot: The United States government just asked us to save the world. Anyone want to say "no"?
Tom Servo: I do.
Mike Nelson: Yeah, me too.
Crow T. Robot: Ah, come on you yellow-bellied...
Tom Servo: But...but I said no!
Mike Nelson: Yeah, me too!
Lyrics[]
TOM
Kiss yourself goodbye
Meteors are fallin' down from the sky (Mike: Twice!)
CROW
Say goodbye to life (Mike: See ya!)
A crazy guy is after you now with his big knife
MIKE
It's the end of the summer as we know it
TOM
And the movies, that they show it
Tom Servo: Three... Four...
Mike Nelson: And, go now!
TOM
Gave us lots of fears
CROW
And really hurt our ears
MIKE
Scary pictures of war
And a Bruce Willis playin' on a meteor
TOM
And conspiracies from space
And Matt Damon's big face
CROW
And-a being murdered by a nut
And-a Jim Carrey's butt
TOM
So, if you really wanna know what's true, sugar
ALL
It's the Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Mike: Summer)
Blockbuster Review (Mike: Yeah...Oh, yeah...)
