A Tribute to Future War is a special production that initially streamed on the Gizmoplex on May 12, 2022. It is preceded by the short Let's Make a Meal in 20 Minutes. The main feature is a presentation of Episode 1004. At the point of the original episode's commercial breaks, there is either a Gizmoplex sponsor Madvertisement or an intermission/new host segment. The special is followed by a Q&A featuring Matt McGinnis, Yvonne Freese, Kelsey Ann Brady, Emily Marsh, Jonah Ray, and Conor McGiffin (who experiences some audio issues on his end). Tom Servo also reads a letter.
The Special[]
Host Segments[]
Segment One: Jonah, Crow and Tom Servo fondly recall the various fads of the 1990s before they go off to revisit Future War.
Segment Two: Crow and Tom are thinking that maybe future dystopias aren't so bad. Jonah attempts to dissuade them but fails, as they decide that Logan's Run would be particularly worthy to emulate. Jonah buys himself three years by claiming to be 27.
Segment Three: Jonah and the Bots spitball over what sort of mutations they would want to have if they lived in a mutant infested dystopia. Jonah favors a prehensile tail. Tom would prefer a second head. Crow wants a telescopic neck. It alls ends up devolving into a scuffle.
Segment Four: Jonah and Tom dine as Dystopia-bee's, with Crow as their waiter Philip Magnovox. They're offered unfiltered water and a single apple for them to fight over.
Segment Five: Tom and Crow tell Jonah about the sponsorship offers they've received over the years. Crow once shilled for salt, while Tom had a chance to promote argon, but didn't care for their strategy of smearing helium. Jonah wants to get in on the atomic action, but the Bots only offer mocking derision.
Segment Six: Jonah and the Bots sent their Nineties-esque farewells. Meanwhile, Dr. Kabahl informs Pearl and Synthia about which aspects of Nineties culture will make a comeback and which will be consigned to oblivion.
Madvertisements[]
Sponsors are chosen by M. Waverly, who spins a wheel to choose the sponsor.
Sponsor 1: Bearmanor Media: Tom marvels at all the screenplays Bearmanor Media publishes, including Bride of the Monster and The Brute Man. Crow announces that he's submitted his own screenplay, which sounds suspiciously like This Island Earth.
Sponsor 2: Bendy (from Joey Drew Studios): Jonah tells the Bots that, since Joey Drew Studios liked their previous Bendy ad so much, they'll be getting some free Bendy merch. Tom insists that the correct term is swag.
Sponsor 3: Onyx Path Publishing: Jonah is GM for a session of It Came from Beneath the Sea. Tom thinks the monster they encounter should be a 90-foot tall Dolemite.
