Abe Vigoda (1921-2016) was an American actor. He appeared as Salvatore Tessio in the acclaimed mafia film The Godfather and its first sequel.
On television, Abe Vigoda was a breakout star on the TV sitcom Barney Miller opposite Hal Linden. His character of police Detective Phil Fish was spun-off into his own short-lived series.
