Alan Cailou (1914-2006), born Alan Lyle-Smythe, was a British-born actor and writer whose first television appearance was as a contestant on You Bet Your Life. As well as portraying The Head on Quark, other shows he appeared on include Maverick, Death Valley Days, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Daniel Boone, Bonanza, My Three Sons, Mannix, and The Six Million Dollar Man.
