Andrew V. McLaglen.

Andrew Victor McLaglen (July 28, 1920 – August 30, 2014) was a British television and film director.

McLaglen grew up in a family that worked in the movie industry, and at early age was present on set with his parents as they worked alongside industry heavyweights such as John Wayne and director John Ford. Ford gave McLaglen the role of assistant directory on The Quiet Man. Later he became a director in his own right, working mainly on western and adventure films. Some of his more well known films starred big name actors such as John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart.

In the 1970s McLaglen directed a film starring Joe Don Baker in the title role of Mitchell. In the 1990s Mitchell was lampooned on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
