Anthony Ainley once again scheming to end that meddling do-gooder the Doctor
Anthony Ainley (1932-2004) was a British actor who is best remembered for his portrayal of the Master on Doctor Who.
Ainley first appeared on Doctor Who during the 1981 serial "The Keeper of Traken" (first as Tremas, then as The Master). He then appeared as The Master in nine other serials, the Twentieth Anniversary Special The Five Doctors, and the video game Destiny of the Doctors.
In addition to his work on Doctor Who, Ainley appeared in several films and a number of television shows, including Upstairs,Downstairs and the 1977 BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens' Nicholas Nickleby.
