Ardy is a worker at the Moon 13 research base who is responsible for sending the movie to Jonah and the Bots. He is located in Moon 14, which is a level below Moon 13. He has a dog named Bonesy, who is gifted with the power of speech.
Ardy survives the destruction of Moon 13 and continues in his role at Moon 1.
His catchphrase "Movie in the hole!" is a take on the old phrase "Fire in the hole", a warning that an explosive detonation in a confined space is imminent.
Ardy pronounces his name phonetically ("R.D."), a reference to "Research & Development".
