Bill Coontz (1917-1978) was an American actor who worked primarily in westerns. Among his television credits are Have Gun, Will Travel, The Untouchables, Rawhide, Death Valley Days, Bonanza, Mission: Impossible, The Big Valley, and Gunsmoke. Although his surname was originally spelled Koontz, he has no known familial connection to suspense thriller writer Dean Koontz.
