The Bubbulat-R is a large device conceived by Kinga Forrester that utilizes Kingachrome to send subjects into the reality of a comic book. The machinery that runs the Bubbulat-R was designed by Synthia Forrester for Kinga as a means of expanding the reach of the "Mystery Science Theater" franchise.

The Bubbulat-R's bubbles overwhelm the Satellite of Love
Kinga first tests the machinery on Max by sending him into Funny Animals Vol. 2 No. 9, which tranforms it into Max and the Funny Animals. When that proves successful, she floods The Satellite of Love with Kingachrome bubbles, transporting Tom Servo into Johnny Jason, Teen Reporter No. 2, while Jonah, and initially Crow, wind up in Black Cat Comics Vol 1. No. 2. Gypsy, M. Waverly and Growler are stuck outside of the comics' narratives, but are able to communicate through dialogue bubbles.
At the end of the experiment, with six issues completed, Kinga had the Bubbulat-R blown up, leaving its current status unknown.
