Bud Thackery

Bud Thackery (1903-1990) was an American cinematographer who also did some special effects work. Before he moved on to television, his primary employer was Republic Pictures, where he mostly worked on westerns. Two of the more renowned films he's associated with are the original King Kong and Charlie Chaplin's last silent film Modern Times. His television credits include Commando Cody: Sky Marshall of the Universe, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Wagon Train, The Munsters, Emergency!, and McHale's Navy.
