- This refers to a notorious scene in the movie Pod People, in which a singer in a recording booth smiles while giving an "OK" hand signal, then complains that the recording stinks. This scene was subsequently parodied when that film was used in Episode 303 of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

A fan-made version with audio recorded from the audience was circulated online. This recording was apparently made on October 13th, 2013, and features Dave (Gruber) Allen filling in for J. Elvis Weinstein, who was unavailable.
