The Oozing Skull is the first release from Cinematic Titanic, released on DVD on December 21, 2007.
Movie[]

President Amir of the country Kalid lies on his deathbed. With few options, the decision is made to transplant the president's brain into a younger, healthy body. The operation is disrupted by international intrigue.
Episode[]
Prologue: None. The cast enter and take their seats without comment or explanation.
Segment One: In the first installment of Frank Conniff's Hollywood Cavalcade, the late Al Hirt stops by and tries to play some fine jazz, but becomes squeamish at the scene from the movie being displayed.
Segment Two: Joel wonders if pouring acid on a guy is really entertaining. The others try to explain that there are worse things in the exploitation genre and that Joel should stop being a wuss.
Segment Three: Trace climbs into a boom lift and attempts to improve the female lead's make-up.
Segment Four: Josh realizes that the on-screen couple doesn't have a 70's style love theme. He tries to rectify the situation, but the large amount of problems in their relationship makes him frustrated and he smashes his guitar.

- An anecdote about the later life of the Irish playwright Oscar Wilde claims that some of his last words were "My wallpaper and I are having a duel to the death. One or the other of us has to go!". This has sometimes been related as Wilde lying is his deathbed and saying "Either that wallpaper goes or I do!", then expiring.
- "His Make-A-Wish was to meet Tammy Wynette."
- The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a charitable organization that provides happy experiences to terminally-ill children. This sometimes includes arranging for them to meet famous people. Tammy Wynette was a popular country-and-western music singer who often wore her blonde hair in an elaborate bouffant.
- "HeadOn! Apply directly to the forehead!"
- HeadOn is a brand of topical headache remedy. It gained some prominence due to a series of television commercials that consisted only of their slogan being repeated several times (without saying what the product was meant to accomplish).

- The Pussycat Dolls were a group of singer/dancers who released the successful song "Don't Cha" in 2005.
- "Is that a skull or Mapquest?"
- Mapquest is an online map/directions service. It has become less popular with increasing use of GPS systems.

- A pastiche of the song "The Rain in Spain" from the musical My Fair Lady.

- A reference to the film Blazing Saddles in which the pompous character Hedley Lamarr often corrects people who address him as "Hedy". Hedy Lamarr was a popular actress during the 1930s and 40s.

- Frank is mimicking Orson Welles' character Charles Foster Kane from the film Citizen Kane.
- "Todd McFarlane's J.P. Spohn?" "Collect all 4 Associate Producer action figures."
- Todd McFarlane is an American comic book artist, best known for creating the character Spawn. He later started his own company to produce action figures.
- "Want some...?"
- Trace says this at the end of the film over a shot of the brain. This would seem to be a reference to the film Daddy-O, which was featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

- The Cinematic Titanic team developed the title The Oozing Skull at the request of Brain of Blood's producer and story creator Sam Sherman, who wished to avoid confusion with the original, un-riffed version of the film.[1]
- Audiovisual elements of the episode were recorded on December 4, 2007. This episode was originally scheduled for release at midnight on December 10, but was delayed[2] until December 21 to work in newly-created riffs from the live performances at ILM.

- Originally released on DVD via web site EZTakes. The initial release came in a plain cardboard envelope with the DVD.
- In 2017, Shout! Factory released Cinematic Titanic: The Complete Collection, a box set with all Cinematic Titanic recorded presentations.
- As of 2023, The Oozing Skull is only consistently available for streaming at shoutfactorytv.com.[3]
