"Little person" is the currently accepted term for those people with dwarfism, a medical condition that inhibits growth resulting in an adult height of 4' 10" (147cm) or less.
People with dwarfism have sometimes been credited in films and television with the terms "dwarf" or "midget", which are now considered to be demeaning.
