Season 3 is the third national season (fourth overall) of Mystery Science Theater 3000. It was the first season to appear on Comedy Central, airing from June 1, 1991 to January 25, 1992. It consists of twenty-four episodes, the same as Seasons 4 - 6 (and longer than any other seasons).
In between Season 2 and 3, The Comedy Channel, MST3K's original national network, merged with rival Ha! to form "CTV: The Comedy Network", then had to almost immediately rebrand to avoid confusion with the Canadian network of a similar name.
