Dr. Varno is the leader of an underground society on future Earth. His group's plan to leave Earth are disrupted by a band of inadvertent time travelers.
Dr. Varno and his companion Larry communicate with the Satellite of Love from their rocket. They tried to entice Jonah and the Bots to join their hedonistic lifestyle, but were unsuccessful.
