Elliott Kalan (pronounced "KAY-len", born December 3, 1981) is an American comedy writer. He is married and has 2 sons.
Kalan worked as a writer for the popular current events satire show The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (which aired on Comedy Central) from 2008 to 2014, and as Head Writer from 2014 until he and Jon Stewart left the show in 2015. Kalan won four Emmy Awards for his work on The Daily Show. He also appeared in small roles occasionally.
Kalan has written several books for Marvel Comics, most notably the Spider-Man and the X-Men limited series from 2015. In 2021, he wrote the horror/crime comic book Maniac of New York, which was published by Aftershock Press. He has also authored two children's books entitled Horse Meets Dog and Sharko and Hippo.
Kalan is the co-host of the podcast The Flop House, which discusses bad movies.
Kalan portrayed two characters in Season 11; Dr. Varno in Episode #1103 and Mr. Whipple in Episode #1113. Both appearances were alongside series creator Joel Hodgson, first as Larry, then as Santa Claus.
Elliot Kalan is credited as a Consulting Writer and Consulting Producer for Season 13.

- IMDB.com inaccurately lists Elliott Kalan's birth year as 1982. On an episode of The Flop House podcast, he mentioned that they had done him "a favor" by shaving a year off his age.
