George Lazenby (born in 1939) is an Australian model-turned-actor.
He was chosen to succeed Sean Connery as the lead actor in the popular James Bond film franchise. Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but decided not to return to the role for Diamonds Are Forever.
Lazenby has since had a long career acting in films and television. He has occasionally played roles that make oblique (and sometimes overt) reference to his turn as Bond, such as the TV movie The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E., in which Lazenby played the character "J.B.".
