Patrick Wayne Swayze (August 18, 1952 - September 14, 2009) was an American actor best known for playing various tough guys and romantic leads in a number of popular motion pictures.
Swayze is a favorite actor of Michael J. Nelson (particularly for the film Road House) and was frequently referenced on the show, including in the song "A Patrick Swayze Christmas".
Swayze passed away in 2009 after a long-term battle with pancreatic cancer.
