Scotty Beckett (1929-1968) began his film career at the age of three, as one of "Our Gang" (AKA The Little Rascals). He became one of Hollywood's most popular child stars, appearing in many major motion pictures.
Like many child stars, Scotty's adult life was plagued by depression and substance addiction. He began to use drugs and alcohol as a teenager, which resulted in his performances and reliability as an actor suffering. The TV series Rocky Jones, Space Ranger was his last steady job.
After an attempt at other work, Scotty Beckett died of suicide at the age of 38.
