Freaks and Geeks

Freaks and Geeks is a TV series that aired on NBC from September 1999 to July 2000. 18 episodes were made. It was created by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow, both of whom would later go on to great success in feature films.

Set in 1980, the series follows two middle-class teenagers (Lindsay and Sam Weir) living in suburban Michigan. Lindsay and her friends (the "Freaks") and Sam and his friends (the "Geeks") navigate the vicissitudes of high school life while trying to find their identities.

The show was ostensibly a drama, but it had many humorous elements.
