Gene Hackman

Gene Hackman (born January 30, 1930) is a retired American actor known for his long career in films including The Conversation, The Poseidon Adventure, Hoosiers, and The Royal Tenenbaums, and for playing Lex Luthor in several films in the Superman series.

Gene Hackman won an Academy Award for Best Actor for The French Connection (1972) and Best Supporting Actor for Unforgiven (1993). He was also nominated for Best Actor in 1989 for Mississippi Burning and Best Supporting Actor in 1971 for I Never Sang for My Father.
