George Becwar (1917-1970) was an American actor. He had a successful career on the stage, but his film & television career was relatively short.
Becwar reportedly caused a problem for director Edward D. Wood Jr. during production of the film Bride of the Monster by complaining to the actors' union that he had been underpaid. Wood held a grudge against Becwar for some time.
In the 1994 feature film Ed Wood, George Becwar was played by actor Vasek Simek in scenes that dramatized the production of Bride of the Monster. Simek was credited as playing Becwar's character Professor Strowski.
