George Murdock (1930-2012) was an American actor. He had a long career in films and television, working consistently from 1961 until his death.
George Murdock had a recurring role on the TV sitcom Barney Miller as the antagonistic NYPD Internal Affairs officer Lt. Scanlon. He also appeared in multiple incarnations of the Star Trek franchise, including in the notable two-part episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation entitled "Best of Both Worlds" as Admiral Hanson.
