The Holo-clowns are holographic clowns created by Joel as part of his "rainy-day fun sketch" in an attempt to cheer up Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot. Unfortunately, an error in their programming caused them to stay active long past their intended existence and they went mad, forcing Joel to pull the plug on them.

Behind the scenes

The Holo-clowns were portrayed by Michael J. Nelson and Paul Chaplin in their two appearances.
