Invasion of the Neptune Men is a 1961 Japanese science-fiction film.

Aliens from the planet Neptune attempt to invade Earth, but they are thwarted by a mysterious superhero called "Space Chief," who travels in a rocket-propelled car. [1]

- Mitsue Komiya as Saito
- Seiichirô Kameishi as Yamagata Yukichi

Notes[]
- Many of the invasion scenes in Tokyo were edited from the 1960 film World War III Breaks Out (which starred Tatsuo Omemiya of Prince of Space). The appearance of a giant billboard of Adolf Hitler has led some viewers to believe that the stock footage is taken from documentary footage of World War II Japan. However, according to August Ragone on the special features of the DVD for the episode, only one shot of the Diet building was stock footage, and the rest of the sets were all purpose-built for this movie[1].
- This film was not released in theaters in the United States. It premiered on American television in 1964.
- This film has been released on DVD in the United States in a 2-pack with Prince of Space, which had the same writer, production company, and American distrbutor. There are no other connections between the two films.
- One of the boys owns a toy of Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet (1956). [2]
