Synopsis[]

Notable comedians present clips from films spanning nearly 50 years and several genres. Some of these clips are spoofed or commented upon.

  • It Came from Hollywood presents some of the film clips with comedians talking during them. In this way, its serves as a predecessor to Mystery Science Theater 3000.
  • Del Tenney receives thanks in the credits.
  • In 2001, Dan Aykroyd starred in a made-for-TV adaptation of Earth vs the Spider, which was not used by It Came from Hollywood (though several other films by directed Bert I. Gordon were).
  • It Came from Hollywood was broadcast on Comedy Central at least once during the same time period in which the network was also showing Mystery Science Theater 3000.
  • Licensing issues have prevented It Came from Hollywood from being released on DVD or Blu-Ray.
