Leslie I. Carey (1895-1984) was a Canadian-born audio technician who mostly worked at Universal Studios during the 1940s and 1950s. He won the Academy Award for Best Sound Recording in 1955 for The Glenn Miller Story. Other films of note he worked on include Winchester '73, Creature from the Black Lagoon (and its sequels), The Incredible Shrinking Man, Touch of Evil, and "Where is Everybody?", the premiere episode of The Twilight Zone.
