Lisa Foster (born 1964) is a former actress who later became a video game digital artist and supervisor
Trained at HB Studios in New York City, she spent several years as a professional film and commercial actor before turning her attention to television, where she worked in various capacities as camera operator, stage manager and finally as technical director on the award winning political panel show, Week In Review (KCLA). She began her visual effects career at Cinesite in Los Angeles as part of the complex restoration team assigned to the major task of digitally reconstructing the classic Disney animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Following the success of these never-before-seen digital techniques, she went on to work as a technical artist on such films as Coneheads, Cliffhanger (with Sylvester Stallone) and Super Mario Bros. (which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects). As staff animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks, Foster lent her skills to such films as Die Hard with a Vengeance (with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson), Wolf, The Cable Guy, Virtuosity, Hideaway, and James and the Giant Peach.
More recently, she directed the 3D animated series Thesaurus Rex which was aimed at encouraging and challenging visual and vocabulary concepts in preschoolers.
