Lois Maxwell (1927-2007) was a Golden Globe-winning Canadian actress, best known for originating the role of Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond franchise, which she played for fourteen films.
After establishing herself as Miss Moneypenny, she and Bernard Lee ("M") made a deal to appear alongside Neil Connery in the Bond-inspired spy film Operation Kid Brother (aka Operation Double 007) as a protest over their pay on the Bond films. Maxwell stated that Sean Connery was initially upset with her for allegedly exploiting his brother, but later thanked her for supporting Neil.
