Quotes & References[]
- "It's Arnold Stang's birthday!"
Comic actor Arnold Stang, who was known for his bookish appearance and nasal voice, was actually born on September 28th, not February 12th as Frank says.
- "Of course, we all know that bunnies can't really talk." "Eh, my friend Harvey can talk!"
Trace is mimicking the voice of actor Jimmy Stewart, who starred in the film adaptation of stage play Harvey. The play is about a man who claims to be friends with a giant invisible rabbit named Harvey.
- "From the Coronetto Trilogy..."
"The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy" refers to the three films directed by Edgar Wright that star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End. Each film includes a scene in which a character eats one of the three flavors of Cornetto brand ice cream treats. The trilogy is sometimes referred to only as "The Cornetto Trilogy".
- "It's only a model..."
This is a line from the comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, spoken by an unimpressed supporting character after King Arthur and his knights are struck by the grandeur of the kingdom of Camelot in the distance.
- "...played by Tom Hanks."
This is said after the main character in the short is identified as being named "Otto". Actor Tom Hanks starred in the film A Man Called Otto, which was a recent release at the time of this livestream event.
- "...Who took HIS orders from Hydra."
The Marvel Cinematic Universe series of superhero films, it was revealed that the international fascist organization called Hydra had infiltrated the highest levels of the United States government (and likely other nations as well).
- "Serf Nazis must die!"
A play on the title of the Troma film Surf Nazis Must Die.
