This is a bit of dialogue that is repeated throughout the satirical novel Catch-22, which deals with airmen encountering military ineptitude and callousness during World War II.
Behind-the-scenes[]
- Unlike the first Shorts program, none of the material here had been performed by the Mads in any previous shows.
- The Mads were joined by special guest Mary Jo Pehl for a brief discussion before the program and the question-and-answer session after the program.
- The print of Science and Superstition used does not include a title card. Frank referred to the short's title during the Q&A afterwards.
- The event was produced by Chris Gersbeck.
- At the conclusion of the event, they announced that the next livestream would take place on February 9th, 2021. The movie was not announced. It was later revealed that the film would be The Choppers.
Video Release[]
- The event was made available for ticket purchasers to download for those who had bought tickets before the livestream. It was only available for 24 hours after-the-fact.
