This is the title of a novel by Frank Conniff.
  • "Foiled by a Bowery Boys routine."
The Bowery Boys were one of several groups of tough-but-lovable youth gangs who appeared in comedy/adventure films during the 1930s and 40s (which were later repeatedly re-run on television).
  • "Is there anyone who DOESN'T have a podcast?" "Us."
Frank and Trace had previously hosted the podcast Movie Sign with the Mads, but it had ceased production several years before this livestream event.

Rawhide is a TV western series that ran from 1959 to 1965. It focused on a team of cowboys on a cattle drive and was a breakout vehicle for actor Clint Eastwood.

Frank is mimicking the vocal style of Art Carney's character Ed Norton from the TV sitcom The Honeymooners, who was a sewer worker.

The series was made into a popular film in 1993 and had short television revivals in 2000 and 2020.

  • The livestream of Teenagers from Outer Space was the twelfth new performance by The Mads of 2022.
  • The livestream was produced by Chris Gersbeck.
  • The Mads were joined by Josh Weinstein and Andy Kindler before and after the movie.
  • At the conclusion of the event, it was announced that the next livestream show would take place on January 10, 2023 and feature a tenth Night of Shorts. It was later announced that the guest for this event would be author Paul Myers.
