- This is a reference to the song "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" popularized by the band Herman's Hermits in 1965.
- "Look out for "Christina's World"!"
- "Christina's World" is the title of a painting by Andrew Wyeth. It depicts a young woman crawling through a grassy field towards a distant farmhouse.
- "Blowed up fake! Real fake!"
- A reference to the "Farm Film Report" sketch on the TV comedy series SCTV, in which two ruralites would review movies. They enjoyed explosions, and would often identify when something "blowed up real good" or "real lame".
