Galaxy's Edge is an area of the Disney theme parks that simulates a planet in the Star Wars science-fiction franchise.
  • "There's something Michael Stipe-y about him."
Michael Stipe is the lead singer for the musical group R.E.M. He is thin and typically shaves his head.
  • "He's got a very Hutch from Starsky & Hutch look... He's a David Soul-almost."
Starsky & Hutch is a TV police drama that ran from 1975 to 1979. It co-starred David Soul as the handsome detective Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchinson. Soul also had a singing career, with his song "Don't Give Up on Us" reaching number one on the U.S. Billboard chart in 1977.
  • "It's very similar to that movie Event Horizon."
Event Horizon is a 1997 science-fiction film about a derelict spaceship occupied by a mysterious malevolent force.
  • "Oh, like a Sam & Diane kind of thing."
On the long-running TV sitcom Cheers, the rugged bartender Sam Malone had a prolonged romantic relationship with the sophisticated waitress Diane Chambers. They broke up and got back together several times, and "Sam & Diane" has become a pop culture shorthand for a "will-they-or-won't-they?" relationship.

Erwin Schroedinger was a quantum physicist who developed a thought experiment about an hypothetical situation in which a cat in a sealed box would be exposed to a potentially deadly gas. The cat could be considered to be both alive and dead until the box was opened and it's condition was observed.
  • "Have you ever seen the movie The In-Laws?"
The In-Laws is a 1979 comedy film about a mild-mannered dentist and a rogue CIA agent whose lives become entangled when their children get engaged. It was remade in 2003.
  • "This is the reboot of the doctor from Lost in Space, right?"
Lost in Space is a science-fiction franchise about a family who become stranded while exploring outer space. Their crew also includes a treacherous stow-away scientist called Dr. Smith. In the original television incarnation, Dr. Smith was consistently depicted as effete and scheming.
  • "The space Roomba!"
Roomba is a brand of automatic vaccuum cleaners. They are typically disc-shaped and use internal sensors to clean.
  • "Doc, no! First, do no harm!"
The Hippocratic Oath is a pledge that physicians have taken dating back to ancient Greece. The first clause states that a doctor will do no harm or injustice to their patients.
  • "It's Noel Gallagher!"
Noel Gallagher is a British musician known for his work with the band Oasis.
