The Episode[]

Host Segments[]

Prologue: Jonah and the 'Bots tell scary stories, but because the Mads could call at any time, they only say the last lines.

Segment One (Invention Exchange): The SOL and Moon 1 are both decorated for Halloween. For the Invention Exchange, Jonah and the 'Bots present the Multi-Mask, a hat that allows the wearer to rotate through a variety of masks. Kinga and Max present MeJa Boards, which are Ouija Boards for specific users.

Segment Two: Jonah takes the 'Bots trick or treating. Nobody appreciates Jonah's Tom Atkins costume.

Segment Three: Jonah and the 'Bots perform a novelty song about modern-day monsters being unable to attend a party.

INTERMISSION

Segment Four: Jonah and the 'Bots try a different strategy with their monster party song.

Segment Five: Jonah is being psycho-analyzed by Crow, who uses his technique called Noir Therapy. Tom sits in on trumpet.

Segment Six: Jonah is excited about the log flume that he has constructed, but Tom and Crow are more interested in talking to the floating Skull that has materialized on the SOL.

Stinger: The landlady turns and screams.

  • "...Chidi from The Good Place..."

Said character is often in some state of undress and positioned in a suggestive pose.

Line from the B-52s song "Love Shack".
  • "It's over nine-thousand!"
An iconic meme from the Japanese action anime Dragon Ball Z. This line was shouted out in the original English dub track by Vegeta (voiced by Brian Drummond) in response to Goku's unexpected power level (or battle strength) while crushing the device used to track his power. The original Japanese track and later English dubs had Vegeta more shocked and frustrated (and the power level actually being over eight-thousand)

  • This is the first Halloween-specific episode.
  • This is the first episode to use a black-and-white film since Episode #1011.
  • Parts of the film are in 3-D. Gizmoplex backers had the option to receive MST3K-branded 3-D glasses to use while watching the episode.
  • Two versions of the episode were produced, one with the 3-D intact and one strictly in black & white. The only noticeable difference otherwise is that the backer credits on the 3-D version are in white, but in yellow on the black & white version. Each version is available for streaming/downloading separately.
  • The hallway sequences leading out of and into the last two Host Segments are in black-and-white.
