Hi Darth. You might have seen an exchange between me and a user called Glammazon. They followed me here from the Dick Tracy Wiki, where I blocked them for inserting nonsense. I'm sorry about that. I hope they don't become a nuisance here.
Okay. Make sure they know that following people to other wikis isn't a good way to get back into someone's good graces. They don't seem interested in contributing here, so I won't ban them, but that is not good behavior.
Hi Darth. I've been making pages for the Live Shows, but I'm afraid I don't know how to create/alter templates for the infoboxes. As such, they seem a bit sparse. If you can update them (or tell me how to), I's appreciate it. Also, let me know what information you think should be included.
The Twitter account Trek Core posted an internal document from Paramount about the early casting options for "Star Trek: The Next Geneation". I was surprised to see that they were considering Roy Thinnes for Captain Picard and Ben Murphy for Commander Riker.
I'm tempted to add mention of this to those actors' pages, but I'm not entirely sure that it's relevant. Your thoughts? Maybe something on the Star Trek page?
Hi Darth. I've been watching some MST3k and RiffTrax on Pluto TV. They include new promos/bumpers that feature Crow, Tom, a stripped-down Gypsy, and a character called Mega-Synthia. Any ideas on how to find out how many there are, when/where they were made, or who the performers are?
I'm assuming it's the cast from the latest Live Tour, but I don't know. Any thoughts?
Yes, I'm made to understand that is the cast of the recent tour. Their names can be found on the tour's page on the wiki. As for how many, when they were shot...that I don't know. Perhaps contact one of them directly?
I was making some edits yesterday and I encountered a couple of articles that had the same odd comment in the Video Release section. It referred to some DVD releases of episodes not including the MST Hour segments because Shout! Factory "forgot to include them".
That seemed inapporpriate to me, as it implies carelessness or incompetence on the part of Shout! Factory. Do you know if there's a citation to support the claim, like a press release where Shout! Factory said "Whoops! We forgot!" or something like that?
I've removed that comment from the 2 articles where I encountered it, but I don't know how many others contain it.
I have something I want to add to the Cave Dwellers article, and when I can I will add that edit, but what I want to know is if it's okay to add 2 youtube links in the trivial section of the article because what I'll be adding will need the links to point to what's being descibed.
Both are to do with the episode Cave Dwellers. I found the original movie had been uploaded to yt and wanted to point to the 2 scenes the SOL crew referenced in the final host segment. They reference 3 scenes while showing the continuity issues, but one of them is actually in the episode. The other 2 were not. And I wanted to point to where those happen in the original as compared to the mst ep.
Also the quote at the top of the Cave Dwellers page is 3 lines but there's a space that makes it look like 2 lines.
Got it. So just links to the YouTube video that point to the exact spot in the video? That should be fine. I just worry about links like that going down. But if it's been up for a while, it's probably safe. As for the spacing issue, I can take a look tomorrow.
Yeah both of them have been up for quite a while. It's the whole ep, and it's the whole movie but I'm going to be pointing to the exact timing in the movie and explaining why as to the references made in the closing host segment. Then I will drop you a note here and you can go take a look and fix whatever may need fixing.
Given the violation of fair use I unwittingly committed just over a year ago, I thought you might appreciate to know that I just took the image placeholder off my profile, to make clear that I have no intention of ever uploading anything again. I take responsibility for my crime and am fully committed to making myself pay for it - which I had already been doing by going totally inactive, but now I have really done my part to make sure you can rest easy now.
do you by any chance have the audio for this? and if so, could you possibly send it to me? i've been wondering about the differences between the old and current version, plus the track that isn't on the current version.
