  • "was married to" carries an implication that they are no longer married. "married Bridget Jones" or even "got married to Bridget Jones" does not have that connotation.

  • As of today, whenever I click on a link at this wiki (as well as the RiffTrax wiki), I get a pop-up asking if I want to leave the page. Normally, I only get these when I leave an editing form without saving my work. But now it's happening every time I click a link here. Any idea what's going on and how it can be fixed?

      Loading editor
    • Internal (within the wiki), external or both?

        Loading editor
    • If I follow you correctly both, since I get the pop-up when I leave the wiki for another site.

        Loading editor
    • But if you're just going to another page on the wiki, do you get the message? Also, have you tried a different browser? I'm not having the problem you are.

        Loading editor
    • So, right after I wrote that, it happened to me. But it's only on Internet Explorer. I think it's something on Wikia/Fandom's end, since it's happening with IE on all of the wikis I tried.

  • If there's a performer or filmmaker who is credited in multiple films/projects but their entry only includes a picture from 1 of their projects, are we still calling that a Stub?

Or can the Stub category be removed once there's 1 picture (and the entry is complete otherwise)?

      Loading editor
    • I think "Stub" should only refer to articles that need more information. Lack of photos shouldn't enter into it.

Speaking of photos, are you checking the "unused photos" to see if any that are in there could be used under those circumstances? I'm trying to get that cleaned out.

        Loading editor
    • I had not been. I'll keep that in mind.

I do think that any article that doesn't contain at least one photo should be considered a Stub, though.

  • Hi Darth.

Are we going with assumption that the film order shown in the trailer will be the actual episode order?

      Loading editor
  • Hi Darth. I wanted to get your opinion on something:

Someone on youtube has uploaded a version of the CT production of The Astral Factor. It seems to be audio from the audience, that is to say a bootleg, synced to the movie.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLmkPOK9cMI

Would it be appropriate to link to it or make reference to it on this Wiki? I wouldn't want to get the person who posted it in trouble, but I'm sure that MST3K/CT fans will be interested.

    Thoughts?

    • I was intending at some point to make a page for Astral Factor, since we do have some kind of record of its performance, thanks to the bootleg.

I think it's fine to mention that it was uploaded (since it's a matter of record), but I say let's not link to it. Commercials, clips, bumpers...those are fine. Links to official uploads are too, of course. But full-blown bootleg material, like unauthorized episodes, etc. are best avoided.

    • Fair enough. I made a page for it on the CT Wiki with some screen grabs.

  • Looks like the last edit you made concerning Servo redlinked, so I undid it. The links work fine & point to Servo... what's the issue?

      Loading editor
    • I mistakenly thought the change was to the article text (it was appearing due to the redlink) rather than the linkage, apologies for that in the summary.

        Loading editor
    • Thank you for pointing out the error. I have been cleaning up redirects across the Site and had mistakenly used a "\" when I meant to pipe the link ("|"). It is best to avoid redirects when possible, so every now and then I do a bit of "spring cleaning".

  • Some of them might be exclusive to RiffTrax but it's keeping with the themed nature of recurring actors and filmmakers on here. Please don't delete those anymore.

    • There are tons of Star Wars actors though who appear in MST3k or CT episodes outside of RiffTrax. I consider them all as just one entity, even though some here don't because of the references and how they are later noted later on in either MST3k type interviews or in CT/RiffTrax.

    • Any actor who has appeared on MST3K in *any* form is okay to have a page. I'd *prefer* not to have pages for a bunch of stuntmen, though. Actual actors playing actual parts. But I won't delete minor performer pages if they are already created. I'd just rather see any effort to create new pages go to people *of note* who were actually on the show in a significant way.

  • Hello, I would like to volunteer to fix up the infobox templates on this wiki and make them portable. This would require admin privileges to edit the CSS file (and the templates you've protected) so they don't look like the default portable infoboxes. I am a long-time admin on w:c:forgottenrealms:User:Moviesign so I present that as my credentials. What do you think, sirs? —Moviesign (talk) 23:23, May 1, 2017 (UTC)

    • Thank you. Yes, that fixes it. (Sorry, I've been pre-occupied elsewhere.)

I appreciate the work you've been doing.

    • Great! I have put the new infobox into use, let me know if you find any more weirdness.
