Michael Ansara (1922-2013) was a Syrian-born actor who had a long, successful career in films and television. Star Trek fans know him for portraying the Klingon Commander Kang in the Original Series episode "Day of the Dove". He would reprise this character on Deep Space 9 and Voyager.
In addition to his on-camera work, Michael Ansara was an accomplished voice actor. He played Mr. Freeze on Batman: The Animated Series and in several corollary projects (sequel series, direct-to-video productions, video games, etc). He also voiced The Ancient One in the 1978 made-for-TV movie Dr. Strange, which was later edited into the RiffTrax presentation called Super Zeroes.
Michael Ansara married Barbara Eden (who went on to star in the TV series I Dream of Jeannie) in 1958. They divorced in 1974.
