Michael Landon (1936-1991) was an American actor, writer, and filmmaker. During the course of his career, he starred in three successful TV series - Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven.

Michael Landon wrote, produced and directed the 1976 made-for-TV movie The Loneliest Runner. He also appears briefly in it.

Michael Landon passed away at the age of 54 from pancreatic cancer.
