Nate Begle
Nate Begle is an actor, puppeteer, and voice performer. His last name is pronounced "BEE-gull".
Work as Crow[]
Begle played Crow T. Robot in the Great Cheesy Movie Circus live tour and the 2020 Live Riff-Along streaming event. He also performed as Crow in promotional spots for Pluto TV and during the bumper segments of the 2nd Annual Puppet Camp Livestream. Additionally, Begle operated the Crow puppet during the two new riffed shorts that appeared during the Puppet Camp 2 livestream (with the voice provided by Bill Corbett). He was also credited with co-writing the two shorts.
In April of 2021, it was announced that Begle would perform as Crow as part of Emily Connor's crew in Season 13 of Mystery Science Theater 3000. He participated in several of the Livestream events to promote the second Kickstarter campaign.
Begle performed as Crow during the live Time Bubble Tour. He performed Tom Servo instead of Crow during two weeks when Servo's performer Conor McGiffin was unavailable due to having contracted COVID. Begle, therefore, joined Josh Weinstein as the only MST3K performers to date to play the roles of both Tom and Crow. During this time, Crow was played by understudy and swing puppeteer Kelsey Ann Brady, a personal friend of Begle whom he'd recommended for the job.[1]
In November of2021, Begle became a father and left the tour, with Crow being performed by Brady during his paternity leave.
Departure from Mystery Science Theater 3000[]
Begle was hired as a writer for Season 13 and was initially planned to continue in the role as Crow. Some early material was shot for the season in which Begle operated and voiced Emily Connor's Crow. After a break in filming for the Time Bubble Tour, Begle chose to leave the role to focus on his child and family.[1] Emily's Crow was then played by Kelsey Ann Brady, who re-voiced Begle's existing Crow material and performed Crow for the rest of the season.
Begle remains credited as a writer and puppeteer for the episodes on which he worked.
