Nicholas King "Nick" Nolte (born February 8, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA) is an American actor who has appeared in films such as The Deep (1977, with Robert Shaw), 48 Hrs. (1982), Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986), Another 48 Hrs. (1990, with Andrew Divoff), Everybody Wins (1990), The Prince of Tides (1991), Cape Fear (1991 remake, with Joe Don Baker), Lorenzo's Oil (1992), I Love Trouble (1994, with Julia Roberts), Affliction (1997, with Willem Dafoe), The Thin Red Line (1998, with George Clooney and John Travolta), Hulk (2003, with Eric Bana), The Good Thief (2003), Hotel Rwanda (2004, with Don Cheadle and Jean Reno), Tropic Thunder (2008, with Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey) and Warrior (2011, with Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton). He has been nominated for three Academy Awards, twice for Best Actor and once for Best Supporting Actor.
