Other Space is a comedy science-fiction series created by Paul Feig (creator of Freaks and Geeks). It was produced for Yahoo! Screen, as part of their effort to create original content. One season of eight half-hour episodes was released in 2015. Yahoo! Screen was shut down shortly thereafter and no addition episodes were produced.
The series is set on the space exploration vessel UMP Cruiser, which becomes stranded in a parallel universe on its maiden voyage. The crew has a variety of eccentricities, neuroses, and inter-personal conflicts.
Cast[]
- Trace Beaulieu (voice and puppeteer #1) - Art (or A.R.T.), a robot whose personality was created from the brainwaves of an amoral billionaire industrialist
- Neil Casey - Kent Woolworth, science officer and artifically-conceived son of UMP chairman Helen Woolworth. He was created to serve as an organ bank for his elder brother, but was recently allowed to enter society upon his brother's death
- Eugene Cordero - Michael Newman, childhood babysitter and friend of Captain Stewart Lipinski. He is good-natured but often feels under-valued and overlooked
- Joel Hodgson - Zalian Fletcher, famous engineer on the Cruiser. Years of low-level exposure to engine radiation have left him scatter-brained
- Conor Leslie - Natasha, a projection of the artificial intelligence of the ship's computer
- Bess Rous - Karen Lipinksi, First Officer and older sister to Captain Stewart. She is resentful of her brother's success and is generally ill-tempered
- Karan Soni - Stewart Lipinski, the newly-appointed Captain of the Cruiser and younger brother to Karen. Naive but competent, he has unrequited romantic feelings for Tina
- Milana Vayntrub - Tina Shukshin, navigator for the Cruiser. She was chosen by Stewart because of his romantic feelings for her, despite her lack of qualifications or romantic interest in him
