"Our Love Is On Wings" is a song performed by Kinga Forrester, Neville Laroy and Max (TV's Son of TV's Frank).
Lyrics
- Kinga:
- Sometimes love is so strong that distance can't beat it
- Neville:
- You love something so much you'd rather not meet it
- Kinga:
- Awkward feelings are all proximity breeds
- Neville:
- And our WI-FI's so good it's all that we need
- Kinga and Neville:
- So close and yet so far
- That's the way we are
- Our love is on wings you can't see
- Kinga:
- We never met
- Is it hot?
- Neville:
- You bet
- Kinga and Neville:
- Our love is on wings you can't see
- Neville:
- It's so sublime
- Kinga:
- Let's tie the knot online
- When I close my eyes what I see is you
- Neville:
- My soul touches yours
- Kinga:
- But that's the only touching we'll do
- Max:
- Why can't Kinga be that kind of in love with me?
- Is it because we must share the same air?
- Is it 'cause she can smell me?
- And 'cause when I talk with my mouth
- Tiny specks of my spit will fly out and land on her hair?
- Kinga:
- If you have coffee breath I'll never know
- Neville:
- There's no physical way I could step on your toe
- Kinga:
- Your texts are so sweet, baby
- I can't doubt
- Neville:
- Sometimes I'm on the can when we make out
- Neville and Kinga:
- Our love is on wings you can't see
- Kinga:
- Just stay over yonder
- Neville:
- Absence makes the heart grow fonder
- Kinga and Neville:
- Our love is on wings virtually
- Neville:
- There's no germs when you cough
- Kinga:
- Awkward silence? Just log off
- Neville:
- You are my true love
- And my love is true
- Kinga:
- I need all of your love
- Neville:
- The only thing I don't need is you
- Kinga and Neville:
- So close and yet so far
- Kinga and Neville:
- That's the way you are
- Kinga and Neville:
- That's the way we are
- Max:
- We are
- Kinga:
- So close and yet
- Kinga and Neville:
- Oh, so close and yet so far
Background information and notes
- The song was written by Joel Hodgson, Elliott Kalan and EGOT-winner Robert Lopez, who is famous for having written many songs with his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez for musicals, including Walt Disney's Frozen. The music was composed by Lopez too, arranged and produced by Stephen Oremus and performed by Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt.
- The song is a Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog reunion of sorts, since both Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day had starred in that show together, and sung duets before. The difference this time being that Harris was not the unrequited lover he played on Dr. Horrible.
