Paul Frees (1920-1986) was an American actor, writer, director and voiceover artist. He enjoyed a long career in films and television, and worked frequently with Jay Ward Productions and the Walt Disney Company.
Paul Frees was married five times during his life. During the 1950s, he was married to Joyce Terry.

- The Beatniks was the only film that Frees ever directed or wrote, though he did receive writing credit on several episodes of The Donald O'Connor Show.
- Frees can still be heard by visitors to The Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland as the voice of the Ghost Host.
- Frees provided the voice of the computer called Colossus in Colossus: The Forbin Project, which Joel Robinson identified as his favorite movie at the end of Episode 324.
