Pia Zadora (born 1954) is an American actress and singer who is best-known for her performance in the 1981 film Butterfly and the controversy surrounding it.
Ms. Zadora won a Golden Globe award in the category of New Star of the Year for her performance in Butterfly, though there are widespread claims that her then-husband Meshulam Riklis used his personal wealth to influence the Golden Globe voters in various ways.
In addition to her many other notable performances, Pia Zadora appeared in the original film version of John Waters' Hairspray and the comedy The Naked Gun 33 1/3 (as herself).
