Raúl Juliá (1940–1994) was an actor born in Puerto Rico. He had a distinguished career theater, films, and television.
Juliá had a recurring role as Rafael on an early season of the children's TV program Sesame Street. He starred in several notable films including Eyes of Laura Mars, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Tequila Sunrise, and Romero.
Raúl Juliá had his biggest mainstream success in the role of Gomez Addams in the film adaptation of The Addams Family and its first sequel. He passed away in 1994 after suffering a stroke while battling stomach cancer.
