Rae Dawn Chong (born 1961) is a Canadian-born actress. She is the daughter of comedian Tommy Chong, and she was previously married to actor C. Thomas Howell.
Rae Dawn Chong is best-known for her roles in popular films from the 1980s including Commando, The Color Purple, The Principal, Choose Me, Fear City and Quest for Fire. She had briefly recurring roles on the popular TV series St. Elsewhere and Melrose Place.
