RiffTrax Presents Bridget & Mary Jo (aka RiffTrax Shorts with Bridget & Mary Jo) is a riffing series from RiffTrax that features Bridget Nelson and Mary Jo Pehl.
Nelson and Pehl had participated in RiffTrax projects previously. Beginning with the short Life in the Suburbs in 2015, they were given their own "RiffTrax Presents" series. They riffed their first feature-length film Cat-Women of the Moon in 2016. Shortly thereafter, they produced their first "Just the Jokes" riff of the major Hollywood movie Gravity. Their first DVD collection, Short and Sweet was released in 2017.
While the main RiffTrax team of Mike, Kevin, and Bill have riffed many big-budget movie franchises (The Twilight Saga, Star Wars, Transformers, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, etc.), Bridget & Mary Jo have used several lesser-known series. These include the Teen Agers series (starring Noel Neill), the Sherlock Holmes series (starring Basil Rathbone), and the ...Of The Bride series of made-for-TV movies (starring Rue McClanahan). They have also riffed several made-for-TV movies based on mystery novels written by Mary Higgins Clark (which tend to be similar in tone but do not typically feature repeated characters or actors), and the Inspector Mom series starring Danica McKellar.
Unlike the other ongoing "RiffTrax Presents" series (Janet Varney & Cole Stratton, Matthew J. Elliott & Ian Potter, and Conor Lastowka & Sean Thomason), Bridget & Mary Jo have their own distinct logo which debuted with the 2021 short Lucky Day. It features cartoon images of Bridget and Mary Jo in an art style similar to that of Archie Comics.
