Robert Reed (1932-1992), born John Robert Rietz Jr., was an American actor who is best remembered for portraying Mike Brady on The Brady Bunch (1969-1974) and its spin-offs. He also portrayed Mike on episodes of The Love Boat and Day by Day. It has been reported that he disliked the role of Mike Brady, and only continued to appear in the role due to contractual obligations.
Robert Reed had an extensive acting career, primarily in television. He portrayed Dr. William Reynolds in Roots, Adam Tobias on Mannix, and Kenneth Preston on The Defenders, as well as making appearances on Dr. Kildare, Hawaii Five-0, Fantasy Island, Charlie's Angels, and Murder, She Wrote.
