Robert Smith (birth and death years unlisted) was a movie producer and writer during the 1940s, '50s and '60s. He wrote and produced various dramas, film noir and sci-fi adventure films. He was a writer for shows such as Science Fiction Theatre, Sea Hunt (with Lloyd Bridges), and Rip Cord. His writing credits include films such as Quicksand (1950), Sudden Fear (1952), and the 1959 films The Five Pennies and The Private Lives of Adam and Eve (with Mamie Van Doren).

Not to be confused with the singer or football player and MST3K guest-star of the same name.
