Rock Hudson

Rock Hudson (November 17, 1925 – October 2, 1985) was a American actor and one of the best-known stars during much of the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1970s, he turned to lower budget films and television, gaining new fame opposite Susan Saint James on the long-running mystery series McMillan & Wife.

Fiercely private about his personal life, Hudson passed away in 1985 of AIDS-related illness.

• Rock Hudson's career and personal life were closely linked to fellow actor George Nader's. They were long-time friends, and Nader received a significant inheritance when Hudson passed away.
